Paying your Invoices
Before Your Surgery:
You'll get a quote from the surgeon that has three fees: hospital, surgeon, and anaesthetist.
Send the quote to your insurer for approval.
Have your surgery. You won't need to pay anything on the day because the insurer will pay the hospital or surgeon minus your excess.
After Your Surgery:
Three separate invoices will be sent to you within two weeks of your surgery.
Send all three invoices to your insurance provider.
They will release the money to each party's account.
If you owe any money, you'll get an invoice for the amount that's left.
Insurance companies usually don't tell us or you who they're underpaying. It's usually us (the surgeon), which is why the hospital doesn't take payments on the day of your surgery.
